When Research Brings Hope: The 2026 Dr. Maresch-Klingelhöffer Research Award Ceremony

On November 5, 2026, we will present the 2026 Dr. Maresch-Klingelhöffer Research Award—and you are cordially invited to join us for this special evening. We look forward to receiving your registration!

Since 2008, we have been awarding the Dr. Maresch-Klingelhöffer Research Prize to outstanding early-career researchers. They represent the future of progress in pediatric oncology, and we want to support and honor them.

What happens when you enhance the immune system so that it specifically detects and destroys cancer cells? That is precisely what this year’s award recipient is researching—and we cordially invite you to get to know him and his work.

Dr. Philip Bucher from the University Hospital of Tübingen, iFIT Cluster of Excellence, is conducting research on CAR-T cell immunotherapies. This research opens up promising prospects—even for tumor types that were previously considered virtually untreatable.
