Festival4Family 2026: WIR waren da!
On May 31, 2026, the Frankfurt Foundation for Children with Cancer made its debut at Festival4Family in the myticket Jahrhunderthalle Frankfurt. It was a day filled with encounters, creativity, children’s laughter—and conversations that will stay with us.

An incredible program that drew thousands of families to a 25,000-square-meter venue. Indoors and outdoors, children and parents were offered everything that’s fun.
Right in the middle of it all: the Frankfurt Foundation for Children with Cancer.
At our booth, we invited children to participate in a drawing contest—and every picture was unique. It was incredible to see the enthusiasm and dedication with which the young visitors put their ideas and good wishes for children with cancer down on paper.
While the children were drawing, we got to talk with the parents. They asked questions—about childhood cancer research, about the Dr. Petra Joh Research House, about what makes it possible today for around 80 percent of children with cancer to be cured. And about what this figure also means: that one in five affected children still dies. That research must not stop.
It is these conversations that make a difference. Because social awareness, education, and people’s trust in our work are the foundation for what makes our work possible.

To all the young participants in the drawing contest
We’re now moving on to reviewing the entries and selecting the winners. Every child is a winner—rest assured: you’ll hear from us soon. It was so wonderful to have you all participate!
