The Dr Hans Feith and Dr Elisabeth Feith Foundation supports young researchers in paediatric oncology

We are delighted to receive funding from the Dr Hans Feith and Dr Elisabeth Feith Foundation, which supports our programme for training young researchers at the Dr Petra Joh Research Centre. In this way, we are strengthening the future of paediatric oncology – through excellent research and targeted support for the next generation of researchers.

The Frankfurt Foundation for Children with Cancer has received a grant from the Feith Foundation to support early-career researchers at the Institute for Experimental Paediatric Haematology and Oncology (EPHO).
This funding will enable undergraduates and PhD students to actively engage with innovative research questions in the field of childhood cancer research through research placements, dissertations and PhD projects.

Prof. Dr Dirk Heckl emphasises:
“Supporting the next generation is not an afterthought – it is the foundation for the future of paediatric oncology. We need young talent who are enthusiastic about entering the field of paediatric oncology in order to ensure that the drive for innovation in new therapies is sustained in the long term.”

PD Dr Meike Vogler adds:
“We don’t just impart knowledge – we provide genuine research experience. Because every ‘aha’ moment in the laboratory is more than just learning: it shapes careers that can help drive progress.”
