DIS AG donates €10,000 to children’s cancer research – commitment that grows from encounters
Following moving experiences at the children’s hospice last year, DIS AG 2025 has made a conscious decision to get involved where healing begins: in research.
Last week, the Frankfurt Foundation for Children with Cancer received a generous donation of €10,000 from DIS AG. The funds will go directly to the research work of the Dr. Petra-Joh Research House, where our scientists work daily to develop new therapeutic approaches for children with cancer.
The reason behind DIS AG’s decision to support children’s cancer research stems from a formative experience last year:
In 2024, the company became involved with a children’s hospice, where it gained moving insights into the strain placed on families whose children are terminally ill. These experiences had a lasting impact on the team – and raised the question of how to help prevent diseases from progressing to this stage in the first place.
The answer: research. Where the foundations for future cures are laid. With this year’s donation, DIS AG is sending a strong signal about the importance of scientific work in paediatric oncology.
During the donation handover, representatives from DIS AG were given a tour of our research facility. This gave them a glimpse behind the scenes: state-of-the-art analysis techniques, interdisciplinary collaboration and a team that is passionately committed to childhood cancer research.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to DIS AG for their support and trust in our work.
The donation will help us to advance innovative research projects – for better treatment options and a brighter future for children with cancer and their families.
